What is a Mink Ragdoll? Mink is not a new breed or a new pattern of Ragdoll cat; it’s a bloodline that can be traced back to the first Ragdoll cats bred by Ann Baker.  They’re called “Minks” because their coat is even smoother than the coat of the traditional Ragdolls — the mink’s fur actually feels like a lady’s mink stole.  While many breeders are choosing to work with only the traditional Ragdoll lines, more and more Ragdoll breeders are falling in love with the lush, dark coats and exotic colored eyes of the mink, and choosing to continue the old mink lines. While Minks and Traditionals are both pure Ragdolls, there are a few differences between them.  Mink Ragdoll kittens are born with color.  Traditional Ragdoll kittens are born white.  The point color of the mink is much richer and darker than the point color of the traditional Ragdoll. But Minks still come in all the standard colors of seal, blue, chocolate, lilac, flame, cream, tortie and blue/cream.  Minks also come in all the standard patterns: Colorpoint (no white), Mitted (white mitts on front paws, boots on back legs, white chin and bib), and Bi-color (inverted “V” on face, white on all legs, chin and bib), and Lynx. The eye color of the traditional Ragdoll and the Mink Ragdoll is also a distinguishing feature. In the traditional Ragdoll the eye color is always blue, whereas the Mink Ragdoll has gorgeous aqua (blue-green) eyes although sometimes blue.
Most importantly, Minks have the same characteristics as traditional Ragdolls.  They are large, lovey, docile, floppy, puppy cats.
Other than having different markings, an SBT purebred TICA registered Mink Ragdoll is exactly that — a true Ragdoll.

What Is A Sepia Ragdoll?
Sepia Ragdolls are born with color that deepens over time to an incredibly dark and rich colored coat.  Sepia's coats are pointed so they have variations to the shades of color throughout their bodies and the darker coloring on the ears, center of face, tail, and legs.

What is the difference between a Mink Ragdoll and a Sepia Ragdoll? Sepia Ragdolls are substantially darker coated than their Mink Ragdoll Siblings.  Where Mink Ragdolls can only have Aqua colored Eyes, Sepia Ragdolls can have Blue eyes or a rainbow of other colors.  Sepia Ragdolls often have a plusher coat than their Mink siblings.

What kittens do I get when a Sepia Ragdoll is bred?
When a Sepia Ragdoll is bred to a Traditional Ragdoll the resulting kittens will all be Minks.  When a Sepia Ragdoll is bred to a Mink Ragdoll the resulting kittens will be 1/2 Minks and 1/2 Sepias.
